Modern Surgery.

With  new  discoveries  And  advancing technology ,medicine  is constantly  evolving .Developments  in  technical expertise have  resulted  in a successful  hand transplant, and repair  of  a  congenital   defect  in  a fetus  while  still  in  the womb.Advances  in  technology have also been   far reaching.providing  a   glimpse   of  what  might be  achieved  in  the future.The application  of virtual  reality in medicine  has  already  enabled progress  in   both the  teaching   and practice  of  surgery. and may  soon  be   used  in  the treatment  of  eating  disorders  and agoraphobia.Minimally   invasive  and  robot -and  computer-aided surgery  allows  delicate  and complex surgical  procedures  to  be  carried  out  with  the precision of a thousandth   of a  millimeter.This    means  that  surgery  has become safer,and  patient  and recovery  have   been reduced.
Recent   advances  in  biomedical   engineering  have  led to the  increasing  use  of  robots  in  surgery.Once  a Robot  have  been  correctly  programmed,it   will be  more  accurate  than  a human  in performing  many precise   but repetitive    tasks.Robot  may   soon  act  as surgeons'  assistants  during  operations.,holding  instrument  such  as   an  endoscope ( for viewing  internal part of the  body) and  making incisions  when  required.-To  be  continued.
