NOW BRAINPRINTS INSTEAD OF FINGER PRINTS WILL BE USED IN FUTURE

Scientists   have  developed   a  system  that   can  identify  the   people  using  their  brain  waves  or  'brain  print'  with  100%  accuracy  , an  advance  that   may  be  useful  in  high  security   applications . Researchers  at   Binghamton   University   in  the   in  the  US  recorded   brain  activity  of  50  people  wearing  a  electro-encephalogram(EEG) headset   while  they  looked  at  a  series  of  500  images  designed   specifically     to  elicit  unique  responses  from  person  to  person  -for  example   a  slice  of  pizza ,a boat,or  the  word "conundrum" They   found  that   participants'   brains  react  differently  to  each  image, that  a  computer  system   was  able   to  identify   each   volunteer's  'brain print'  with  100%  accuracy."when  you  take   hundreds  of  these  images ,where  every  person  is  going to  feel  differently   about   each  individual   one,  then  you can  be  really   accu

NOW TRANSPARENT WOOD TO BRIGHTEN HOMES

Scientists   have   developed  transparent  wood  that  could   be   used   in building  materials   and  would  help    home  and  construction  owners   save  money   on  artificial   lighting   costs. The  material   could  also   find  application in  solar cell  windows .researchers  said . The  theory   is  ,if  the  walls  themselves  were  transparent  ,this  would   reduce  the  need  for  artificial   lighting . Researchers  from    KTH  Royal  Institute  of  Technology  in  Stockholm, removed  lignin   from Balsa  tree. Lignin  is   a   structural   polymer  in  plants  that  blocks    80  to  90% of  light   from  passing  through .To  allow  light  to  pass  through  the  wood  more   directly ,researchers   incorporated  acrylic  ,often   known  as  Plexiglass.. The transparent wood was created by first stripping all the lignin - a natural wood fibre found in cell walls - from the material. That makes the wood "beautifully white", the researchers

STRANGE -BUT TRUE-NOW CLEAN CLOTHES WITH SUNLIGHT

Now  you   can  clean your  clothes   with  the  help  of  sunlight   within  minutes. Scientists   have   developed   , a low  cost  ,efficient  way   to  grow  nano structures  on  textiles  that  can  degrade    organic  matter   when  exposed  to  light. The   research   from    RMTT University   in  Australia  pave  the  way   towards  nano  -enhanced  textiles  that   can  spontaneously  clean  themselves   of  stain  and  grime   simply  by  being  put   under  a  light   bulb  or  worn  out  in  the  sun  . The  process  has  a  variety  of    applications   for  catalysis  -based  industries  such  as  agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals  and   natural  products. The  researchers   worked   with  copper  and  siver  based  nano structures  , which  are  known  for their  ability  to absorbed   visible  light  .When  the   nano  structures   are  exposed  to  light  ,they   receive  an  energy  boost  that  creates    "hot electrons". These  release  a  bust  of
