EXERCISE BNEFITS FROM VITAMIN' C ' SUPPLLEMENTS

Overweight and obese people who take a high-dose of supplementary Vitamin C daily may get some of the cardiovascular benefits of exercise without the exercise, new research has found. In a small trial that recruited sedentary adults who were overweight or obese, study participants who took 500 milligrams of Vitamin C daily saw equal improvement in blood vessel tone — a key measure of cardiovascular health — as did those who took up a three-month regimen of brisk walking five to seven times a week, investigators at the University of Colorado at Boulder reported.  The study's small size — 15 subjects got the walking treatment, while 20 took the Vitamin C supplements — may also limit the uptake of its findings by public health officials, who have struggled, with limited success, to get sedentary Americans off the couch. Some 4 in 10 American adults are thought to be entirely sedentary.  But the study's invasive measures of "endothelial function" — blood

NEW INTERNET TERMS ,YOU MUST KNOW TO COMMUNICATE BETTER ON THE NET.

Now  a  days    internet    has  developed   its  own  language  ,new  words  ,new  terms, All   these   words  and  terms   are   invented   by   nitizens. So  to   help  you     to  communicate   better  on  the  net  ,you  must   know  these  new  words  and  terms. Some of these terms might have derived from gamers playing multiplayer online games. They need short terms and abbreviations to quickly describe moments during heat of the battle, or just talk a little geeky . Some   of   these  words  and  terms  are  - Troll Someone who enjoys making everyone else frustrated by acting like a ‘know it all’ or a hater . They do it by leaving bitter or unrelated comments in forums to deliberately harass others. However, a troll can also be a joker if their intent is to entertain and not to (but indirectly) frustrate anyone. Trollolol People who type this can sense that some trolling is going on and they’re enjoying (but not necessarily joining in) the troll’s actions. kt

"NEW TISSUE VELCRO " COULD HELP REPAIR DAMAGED HEARTS

In   a new   medical   breakthrough ,  Engineers at the University of Toronto just made assembling functional heart tissue as easy as fastening your shoes. The team has created a bio compatible scaffold that allows sheets of beating heart cells to snap together just like Velcro™.  One of the main advantages is the ease of use,” says Professor Milica Radisic (ChemE, IBBME), who led the project. “We can build larger tissue structures immediately before they are needed, and disassemble them just as easily. I don’t know of any other technique that gives this ability.” Growing heart muscle cells in the lab is nothing new. The problem is that too often, these cells don’t resemble those found in the body. Real heart cells grow in an environment replete with protein scaffolds and support cells that help shape them into long, lean beating machines. In contrast, lab-grown cells often lack these supports, and tend to be amorphous and weak. Radisic and her team focus on engineering

WALK TO LIVE -A DAILY WALK CAN ADD SEVEN YEARS TO YOUR LIFE.

In  a   new   study   ,researchers     have  found   that  moderate  exercise   could  halve the   risk  of  dying   from  a  heart  attack    for  someone  in  their    fifties   or  sixties. Just  25 minutes of brisk walking a day can add up to seven years to your life, according to health experts.      A   new study presented at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress suggested that regular exercise can increase life span. A  group of 69 healthy non-smokers, aged between  30 and 60, who did not take regular exercise were tested as part of the study at Saar land University in Germany. Blood tests taken during six months of regular aerobic exercise, high-intensity interval training and strength training showed that an anti-aging process had been triggered and helped repair old DNA. “This suggests that when people exercise regularly, they may be able to retard the process of aging,” said Sanjay Sharma, professor of inherited cardiac diseases in sports cardiolo
