REVOLUTIONS-INDUSTRIAL AND INFORMATION

INDUSTRIAL   REVOLUTION  Starts   in   Europe  particularly  in  England  in  eighteen  century.It   changed  the  whole   of Europe   and   England 's  economy.During  this  period    New    machines  are  invented  in   England   to  speed  up  the    spinning  of  wool  and  cotton .At  first  they  were  powered  by  water  wheels  but  later steam  engines   are  developed.Iron   become  cheaper  and  stronger  as  Iron  making  techniques   improved.Canals  are  dug  to  carry   coal   from  the  mines and  to  transport  finished  goods.After   some times  Railways    replaced  canals  .The  first  railways   opens  in   1825.Big  changes   took  place   in  Agriculture  .Machines  replaced    human  power,thus  now  fewer  people   are  to  grow  food.This  forced  people   to  leave  the  country side   to  find  work  in  mills  and  factories.Industrial   town   grow   rapidly.
  MASS  PRODUCTION-  The  most  unique   thing   of  Industrialization    was   mass  production.Machines   can  work  faster    so  new  techniques  of   mass  production    are  developed  .It   drive  down  the  cost  of  things  and  improve  quality.
In   United  States   the  first  coast  to  coast  railroad   is  completed  in 1869.This  opens   the  way  to  rapid   industrial  expansion  .
 The rapid development of steam power and water power were two of the core driving factors of the industrial revolution. It was a turning point in human history, changing how products were produced and the overall standard of living for a vast majority of the populatio
 The most important of the changes that brought about the Industrial Revolution were (1) the invention of machines to do the work of hand tools, (2) the use of steam and later of other kinds of power, and (3) the adoption of the factory system
 
INFORMATION  REVOLUTION.-
 
 The first “information revolution” involved the use of telephones and telegraphs for integrating national markets. The second information revolution is currently in progress and involves the use of computer-enhanced communications. This new equipment is facilitating “major business and political changes” .
 As the creator of the “bit,” Claude Shannon became known as the “father of the digital age”—the man responsible for technology that evolved into today's computers and other digital technology.
 
 The information network created by Sir Tim Berners-Lee in 1990 to connect people to knowledge has become an important place to navigate who and what we know, as well as who we think we are.
 The information revolution that began in the 20th century has been driven in most part by a geometric growth in the production of high-tech electronics, including components of computers, computer peripherals, semiconductors, integrated circuits, printed circuit boards, video display equipment, audio equipment.
 Rajiv Gandhi, the architect of digital India, is hailed as the 'Father of Information Technology and Telecom Revolution of India'.
