HUMAN BODY-DISEASE-ALLERGY



AN  ALLERGY  is  the  strong  ,often ' exaggerated', way  in  which  the  body  reacts   to  a  substance. An  allergic  tendency  develops when   the  body  learns  to  fight  a  certain   substance  strongly and  in  the  wrong  way.For  example  ,in  case  of  hay  fever,  the patient  experiences     a  bodily reactions  to  the pollen   grains  of  certain  plants.When  these  pollen  grains  are  inhaled   in  the spring  season,  the  nose  swells  up ,  the  eyes  becomes  watery ,  and  excessive   sneezing  starts.Allergic  reactions   can  be  reduced  and  controlled   with  the hepl  of  medicines.
DIABETES.-
Diabetes  referred    to   as  'diabetic  mellitus'   by  doctors  .It  is  of  two  types.The  first  type   usually   occur  in   childhood  and  mostly  hereditary. The   second   type   occurs  mostly  in   old  people   and  some  times   in  youngster    because  of  obesity   and inactivity.
In    diabetes ,  the  beta  cells  of  the  pancreas   produce  little  or  no  insulin- a hormone   which  is  essential   for  regulating   the level  of  sugar  in  the  body.Thus  doctors   advice  diabetics   to  avoid  eating   sugar   and  to  take  insulin   through   injections   or  tablets.If  they  do  not  take  insulin  ,the  disease   can  become  fatal
