MODERN BODY WORK AND MODERN MECHANICS OF MODERN CAR.

THE  BODY  OF  A  MODERN  MASS  PRODUCED CAR  is built  on  the  monoculture (single shell) principle,  in  which  the  roof ,side panels, and  floor  are welded   into  a  single  integrated    unit .
This   body shell    protects   and  supports  the  car's  internal  parts .
Steel  and  glass  are   used   to  construct  the  body shell, creating   a  unit   that  is   both  light  and strong .Its    lightness   helps  to  conserve   energy ,while  its   strength   protect   the    occupants
Modern  body  work   is  designed  with  the  aid  of  computers , which  are  used  to  predict  factors  such   as   aerodynamic  efficiency  and  impact-  resistance .High-   technology  is  also  employed on    the  production  line, where  robots  are  used  to assemble, weld, and  paint  the  body.
MODERN  MECHANICS.
A  TYPICAL    MODERN  CAR has several  thousand  individual  mechanical  components .These  are  assembled   to  form  the  car's  various    mechanical  systems ; engine, and  exhaust  transmission  ,steering, suspension, and  brakes. To  ensure  that  each  system  function  properly , components are  manufactured  to extremely  fine  tolerances -to  within  a  five-hundredth of  a  millimetre  (about  one ten-thousandth of  an  inch)in  some    cases.
