Modern Surgery.-VERTUAL SURGERY.

Medical  imaging  such  as  x-ray,computerized   tomography(CT),
 Magnetic  Resonance Imaging (MRI) allows  visual  access  to  the internal   anatomy  and  functions of  the  human  body.The  precise  anatomical  information  provided by  these   images  can  be  used to  create   a virtual  patient ,on  which  surgeons  and   medical  students  can practice   procedures.To  study  the  anatomy  of  human  leg, these  surgeons   wear  headsets  equipped   with  a  3D video  display to  view  an  image,  and  a  black  rubber    glove(data-glove)that  has  woven  optical  fibre  sensors.The  glove  relays  details  of  the  body part   to  the  computer,which  then  generates  the    image.
