SPOTIFY -THE MUSIC APP.

Spotify is a digital music, podcast, and video service that gives you access to millions of songs and other content from creators all over the world. Basic functions such as playing music are totally free, but you can also choose to upgrade to Spotify Premium.

Spotify is a Swedish audio streaming and media services provider founded on 23 April 2006 by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon. It is the world's largest music streaming service provider, with over 365 million monthly active users, including 165 million paying subscribers.

Simply put, Spotify is an excellent streaming music service that wins PCMag Editors' Choice award. It has tons of great music, exclusive tunes, and podcasts, all of which combine to make it a top pick for streaming music and more pop culture-related content.

Download and install the free Spotify application. There are versions for desktop and iPhone/iPad and Android phones. Sign into your account on those devices and get listening.

The Unlimited plan costs $4.99. Premium: The Premium plan costs $9.99 per month. You get everything in the Unlimited plan plus you can access Spotify on your phone by downloading the iPhone or Android app. You can also download songs to your phone and listen to them offline.

Car Thing (yes, really) and it's a little display that mounts in your car and allows you to easily listen and control your Spotify music and podcasts while you drive.

Spotify makes music discovery extremely easy while also making it easy to listen to the songs you already love. Their concept of “Radio” will play songs similar to a starting point, which could be an individual song or even a playlist. Spotify isn't just in the music business, but it is moving into the audio business.

On the desktop, Spotify only allows you to download playlists, no albums or podcasts. Find the playlist you'd like to download, and tap the Download toggle on the top right. When complete, it will say Downloaded. Downloaded playlists will have an downward-facing green arrow on the left menu.

Two people can listen to a Spotify account at the same time — here's how to do it in 2 ways. Two people can listen to the same Spotify account at the same time if you use an Offline Mode workaround, but you'll need to have a Spotify Premium subscription.

  • How to download music from Spotify on your iPhone or Android phone
  1. Launch the Spotify app on your iPhone or Android device and log into your Spotify Premium account.
  2. Tap on "Your Library," located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  3. In the playlist, tap the "Download" button so that the toggle turns green.
  •   Download songs from Spotify to your computer.

Subscribe to Spotify Premium, or log into your Premium account on your PC or Mac computer. Find the playlist that you want to download. After you've selected the playlist from your account, click the "Download" button to the right so that the toggle turns green. The playlist will immediately start downloading.

  • How do I put Music on my phone from Spotify.
  1. Import your local files with the "Desktop" steps.
  2. Add the files to a playlist.
  3. Log in on your mobile or tablet using the same WiFi as your desktop.
  4. Go to Settings > Local Files and switch on Enable sync from desktop.
  5. Download the playlist with your local files.

It's illegal to download/extract any music whatsoever from Spotify, so that they use it outside Spotify. It doesn't really matter whether they are covers or originals, it's copyrighted content.

  • How can I listen to Spotify offline for free?
Disconnect the Internet on your Android or iOS device. Then you'll automatically enter the Offline Mode and keep accessing those offline songs on your phone. Note: You can also set the Spotify as offline mode by navigating to Settings > Playback and toggling the Offline option.

Spotify offers a 30 day free trial. However, that free trial can turn you into a paying customer against your will unless you can navigate Spotify's roundabout cancellation process.

Companies are paying Spotify to make you listen to ads every few tracks. Spotify makes less money per-play from ads than they do from Premium subscribers, so to encourage people to upgrade, the free tier is limited in certain ways.  The only limit is that every couple of tracks, you'll hear an ad.

  • DATA  USE

The Spotify Android app lets you choose between five sound quality settings: Low (24kbps), Normal (96kbps), High (160kbps), Very high (320kbps), and Automatic (dependent on your network connection).
