TECH - WHAT IS ANDROID PHONE

Android is a mobile operating system developed by Google. It is used by several smartphones and tablets.  The Android operating system (OS) is based on the Linux kernel. Unlike Apple's iOS, Android is open source, meaning developers can modify and customize the OS for each phone.

There has been speculation over whether Android is called "Android" because it sounds like "Andy." Actually, Android is Andy Rubin — coworkers at Apple gave him the nickname back in 1989 because of his love for robots. Android.com was Rubin's personal website until 2008.

Android is developed by a consortium of developers known as the Open Handset Alliance and commercially sponsored by Google. It was unveiled in November 2007, with the first commercial Android device launched in

It is currently used in various devices such as mobiles, tablets, televisions etc. Android provides a rich application framework that allows us to build innovative apps and games for mobile devices in a Java language environment.

Android and Google may seem synonymous with each other, but they are actually quite different. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP) is an open-source software stack for any device, from smartphones to tablets to wearables, created by Google. Google Mobile Services (GMS), on the other hand, are different.

  • Why Android is Better Than iPhone: More App Choices.

  • Which is better iPhone or Android?
Use apps. Apple and Google both have fantastic app stores. But Android is far superior at organizing apps, letting you put important stuff on the home screens and hide less useful apps in the app drawer. Also, Android's widgets are much more useful than Apple's.
Android phones also have unique hardware capabilities. Google's OS makes it possible to remove and upgrade your battery or to replace one that no longer holds a charge. In addition, Android phones come with SD card slots for expandable storage.
The official language for Android development is Java. Large parts of Android are written in Java and its APIs are designed to be called primarily from Java. It is possible to develop C and C++ app using the Android Native Development Kit (NDK), however it isn't something that Google promotes.

What is Android 10 called?
The operating system currently known as Android Q has been in public beta since March. There has been much online speculation about what Q-themed dessert Google might use as the official name—Quindim! Queen's cake!
The Latest Version of Android is 11.0

It's just “Android 11.” Google still plans to use dessert names internally for development builds.
 The best Android version?
OxygenOS
Variety is the spice of life, and while there are a ton of third-party skins on Android that offer the same core experience, in our opinion, OxygenOS is most definitely one of, if not, the best out there.

Some of the pros of Android include their diversity both in software and hardware, the Google-friendly attribute and their handy open nature. Android phones also have some cons such as their vulnerability to malware and lack of accessories.
Disadvantages of Android?
  • Device Defects
  • Overheating is a common issue with Android phones, especially when playing games loaded with heavy graphics or while indulging in hardcore productivity tasks. ...
  • Android is a very heavy operating system and most apps tend to run in the background even when closed by the user.
  • Still   Android   is better-

  • Better Hardware
Some Android flagship phones compete well against iPhone, with better hardware. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, for example, out muscles the iPhone 6S Plus with a faster processor, more RAM, increased battery capacity and better screen resolution.
