Paddle board   yoga  is  the  latest  trend    to  stand  the  ancient  practice   of  breath  control,  body postures, and   movements   on  its  head- this  time  on  a  surfboard   surrounded  by  water.
Fitness   experts   says  classes   for  waterborne  yoga   focus  concentration   and  lure  exercisers  who  prefer   open  air  to   suffocating  studios.
Paddle board yoga  instructor  Gillian  Gibree ,who  has   been  teaching  paddle board yoga  since  2009  said   first timer  begin with  a   water safety  demonstration   on  dry  land  before going   on  to  water, where  even  the simplest yoga   can  take on  an  added  intensity .
"On   the  board   , even  plank (a foundation push-up pose)  is  a challenge,"she  said."Everything  is slowed  down    because  it  takes   much longer   to  keep  balance."
Gibree , said   her  clients  comes  from  places  as far-flung   as  Canada,Switzerland, South  Africa  and   New Zealand.
Paddle board   yoga  classes  start  up  with  warm - up,  breathing   and  stability   exercises  on  land ,  much like  a    regular  yoga  class. 
Standup paddle board or (SUP)   yoga  joins  two   ancient   traditions .The  modern   SUP  sport   originate  in Hawaii   in  1950's  and 1960's  but  stand up  paddle  boarding  dates  back   thousands  of  years  to  ancient  fisherman   from  Polynesian    to Peru.  
The  classical   techniques  of  yoga   dates  back  more  than  5,000   years,a  world wide  survey  of  more  than  3,000 fitness   professional     published  this  month    by  American  college  of  sports  Medicine   rated  it   number  seven   among top  ten    fitness  trend   for  2015.
SUP  yoga  offer  full  body work out ,if  your   aiming   for  a  six  pack  of  abs , sculpted   shoulders, or  perfect  posture ,SUP  yoga  is  best  fitness  move.The  pressure  also  allows   to   develop  strong   obliques.The  extra challenge  of  tricky  yoga  poses  on a  board   build   strength ,flexibility    and  agility.
