Just    30  minutes   of  walking   five  days  a  week   is  enough  to   reduced   medical  costs.
A  new  study   shows   that  you can  save  $2,5 00  a  year  ,the  saving  ,the  result  of  reduced  medical  costs ,requires  just  a   good  walking   ,five  days  a  week.
The  findings  come  from  an   analysis   of  26,239  men  and  women  , published  in   the  Journal  of  the  American  Heart   Association .
Researchers   decided  to  see   if   they could  determine  what  being  active    or  inactive  costs  each of  us  annually   in    the  healthcare  spending .
The  study  showed   the  cost  of  inactivity   to  the  world  economy  at almost   $ 68 billion  annually 
For  the  new  study ,  researchers   .stratified   people  into   two  broad  groups  :those  who  did   or  did  not meet    national  exercise   guidelines ,which  recommend    that  someone  work out   moderately  for  30  minutes   five  times  a  week.
It  turned  out that ,on  average  someone  who  met  the  exercise  guidelines    paid   $2,500   in  annual  healthcare  expenses  related  to   heart  disease  than  someone  who  did  not  meet  the  norm.
So    now   we  can    really  say   "Health   is  Wealth".
Exercise   can  also  tackle  harmful   effects  of  alcohol  .Exercising   at  even  moderate   levels   may  prevent  some  of the  harmful  effects  of   drinking - such  as  cancer  or  death,  a  first of   its  kind  study  has  found .
Researchers  led  by  University  of  Sydney  ,  found  that   for alcohol  drinkers  ,  physical  activity  may decrease  the  risk  of  dying  both  from  cancer   and   from  "all  cause  mortality,"that  is  death  from  any  cause.
