COCONUT OIL CAN LOWER BLOOD PRESSURE.

Consuming   Coconut oil alongside regular exercise    may help to significantly    lowers a person's blood pressure    according to a new study .
Researchers at the federal    University of Paraiba   in Brazil    studied a strain of rat prone to hypertension. They found that   both    coconut oil and exercise    training were able to reduce weight gain compared to animals that were given    saline and were not exposed to exercise training along the five week of study.
While coconut oil supplementation or exercise training on their own    were shown to reduce blood pressure , only combined    coconut oil and exercise training    were able to bring the pressure back within the normal range.
The combination ,says the researchers , appeared to oxidative stress    in the serum, heart and aorta   as   well as restore the    normal function of    the   baroreflex-or baroreceptor reflex- one   of the body's     homeostatic    mechanism   that helps to maintain blood pressure    at nearly constant levels.
"This is an important finding    as   coconut   oil   is currently   being considered   a popular super food ."explained Dr   Valdir de Andrade   B raga , co -author   of the study.
