INDIA REALLY NEEDS AN INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION.

SINCE   INDEPENDENCE   INDIA  has  witnessed  three  revolutions.The   first  was  the   Green  revolution   ,which   was  aimed  at  increasing  the  food  production  in India  by  adopting  various  means ,  like  using  high yielding   variety  of  seeds ,chemical   fertilizers,ensuring good soil  quality  ,use  of  pesticides,modern  farming  methods  and  irrigation.Dr   M.S  Swaminathan   is  known  as   "the  father  of  green  revolution  in  India"It  started  in  late  sixties.
This  has  made  India  self sufficient   in  food grain  production.  
The  second  revolution  was  the  white  revolution  or  operation  floods means  flood of  milk.Its  aim   was  to  increase   milk  production  in  India to  ensure  better   supply of milk  to  all .
Second  augment  rural  income  and  fair  price   for    consumers.   
Operation  flood  was  started  in  1970s   in  three  phases .Dr  Verghese  Kurien  is  known  as  father  of  white  revolution  in  India.He  was  also  the  founder  of 'AMUL 'now  a  well  known  in  field  of  milk  products.It   was  his  efforts  that  transformed  rural  India  and  made  India  a largest  producer   of  milk  in  world. In  production   of  milk  India   crossed  United States  way  back  in  1998.
Thus  through  white  revolution  India  has  progressed  very much  in  milk  production.
The  third  one  was  blue  revolution  aimed  at  increasing  fisheries    

Now  ,  we   need   another  revolution  and  this  time  it  should   be  Industrial   revolution,yes  because  Industries   are  the  backbone  of   economy  of    any  country  without  it   no  country   can   make   a progress.
Not  merely  some  steps  but   it   needs  a 'revolution' to  enhance  Industrial  growth   and  eliminate   poverty.  Only  then   India   could  stand  tall   or  the  tallest   among  the  developed   nations  of  the  world. 
The  biggest   asset   India  has   is  its  man power  or human  resource. India  is  the  second  largest  country  in  the  world  in  terms  of  population.
The   first  one  is  China.This  man  power  should  be  used  for  development  of  Industries.
Another  resource  is  land .India  has  immense  dimension    of  land ,particularly  non  agriculture  land,that  should  be  used  for  establishing  Industries  and  infrastructure  required  for  expansion  of  the industries.
India  also  has  other  resources  in  plenty,  required   for  the  development  of  Industries -power,  labor,  water,technology,  experts  in  both  technical  and  management    levels  and above  all  a  very   huge  market  that  is a  must for  the  industries   to  develop.  The  only  thing  we  need  is  initiative  by  the  government  and  also   by  people.
Today  ,what  we  see   in  the  western  countries -their   advancement  in  technology,their wealth and  their  overall   development  is  due  to  the  Industrial   Revolution  that   took  place  in  England  way  back  in  the  eighteenth   century and  in   Europe  and  North  America   in  19th  century.This revolution  in  England  and  Europe ,America  has  changed  the   whole  economic  system   of  these  countries  and  brought  them  in  fore front  of  development  and  prosperity.
But  India   was  unfortunate  to  feel  its  impact  as  at  that  time   British  were  ruling  India,they intentionally   discouraged  Industrialization in India   , so  that  they   could  supply  England's  made  goods  to  India.  After  independence  ,the  governments  did   create  industries in  the  country  but  not  on  a  revolution  level .
Now   we  have  a  good  chance  to  rebuild  Indian  by  starting  an  industrial  revolution in  the  country  giving  particular  focus  on  Industries.This  would  help  India  to  become  a  giant industrial    power  in   the  world and  it  could  help   to  build  a   higher  economic  growth   and   totally  eliminate  the  poverty  in  the country.
This  could  be  done  by  dividing  the whole  country  into    differ& none;" width="300">

gt;ent  industrial   zones.No  part  of  the  country  should   be  omitted  by  any  reasons  political  or  other. Then  according  to  local  nature -  land ,climate,topography ,availability  of  raw  materials etc ,industry   should   be  choosen  to be  establish   in  that  area  besides  this proper  infrastructure  roads, power,transport ,communication   should  be  developed   there.This  will  give  employment  to  local   population  and  enhance   their  income.
Thus  every  region   of  the  country  would  have   its  Industrial  zone,which  automatically  give  rise  to  other  development   activities  as  they are  linked  together.So ,  an  overall   process  of  development  will  start  and  finally  boost the  whole  development   process and we  get   a  higher  growth rate  .
The  process  of Industrial  development   will give  us  so  many  fruits-   employment  , highly  develop  infrastructure,better transport,ample supply  of electricity,rise  in  business and  industries,increase   in  per capita  income  and  rise  in total  economic growth  rate.


I  urge     the  Prime minister ,  Mr  Narendra  Modi  ji    to  take  initiative  in  this  direction  and  start   the  process   of 'industrial  revolution'  in  India  ,which  never  happened  in  this  country and  make  it  a  Industrial  giant  of  the  world   and  gives  its  people   a  prosperous   life.
