FRUITS-

FRUITS   are   most   common raw   food eaten   by both   humans   and animals. They are full of nutrients thus good for health .They give us diseases fighting vitamins and minerals..Thus it is said "eating an apple daily keeps doctor away "thus we should eat a lots of fruits
What are fruits ?To reproduce , a flowering plant makes    seeds   inside each flower's ovary. Around a seed or seeds, the ovary grow into a fruit.Fruits come in all shapes and sizes,   and can be     juicy and succulent , or dry and   hard.
They protect the seeds , and help them disperse
far away from the parent plant so new plants don't compete for water and light.
WHY FRUIT IS IMPORTANT - Yes ,fruits are very important .If you   eat fruits such as   oranges , apples, peaches, you not   only get a juicy treat   but also    a supply   of   essential vitamins and minerals.This will keep diseases   away.
HOW A FLOWER TURNS INTO A FRUIT.
The flower's brightly colored petals   attracts insects.
It allows   an insect to   pollinate   the flower.
After pollination, seeds   form inside   the   flower's   ovary.
No   longer required ,the petals falls off   and ovary began to swell
Soon   grown a ripe   fruit.Ready to eat.

HOW SEED SPREAD-
There are number of ways by which seeds spreads   in different plants-
Raspberries-Eaten by animals ,the seed come out in droppings.
Burrs - Their spines or hooks stick to animal furs.
Pea pods- Pods dry out and explode, launching seeds into the wind.

Poppy seeds- The head of a poppy acts like a pepper pot to release seeds.
Sycamore seeds- These have ' wings' that spin through the air like a helicopter.
C coconuts- It fell   into the   sea and are carried by the currents .
Brazil nuts- Its seeds are buried by the animals , such as rodents.
Squirting cucumber- It explode under high pressure    showering seeds.
The world's smallest    seed -bearing plant,the water meal is 0.1cm wide.It produces fruits that are tinnier than salt grains.While the biggest seed    is produced by coco de mer, or double coconut palm.It weight 20 kg, and grows in the Seychelles islands in the Indian ocean .
FRUIT FIGHTS-The battle of the oranges takes place in the Italian town of 'Ivrea' .Every February , thousands of locals , divided into teams through oranges at each other.Why they practice such game in not known.
The world 's biggest fruit fight is La Tomatina
In Spanish town of    Bunol ,tens of thousands
of    people throw tonnes of ripe ,squashy tomatoes at each other.

The oldest seed that have been germinated belong to the Judean date palm and are approximately 2,000 year old.

The heaviest cultivated fruit is the pumpkin.It can reach an astonishing 600 kg (1,322lb)-the same as the combined weight of eight adult men.

SOME VEGETABLES ARE ACTUALLY FRUITS-
Pumpkin, Tomato, Cucumber,Chilli pepper ,Winter melon,Tinda, sweet pepper, sweet corn,eggplant, squash,Zucchini, bitter melon,Avocado Bell pepper,though eaten as vegetables these are technically fruits.They bear seeds.
