WHEN   WE   SLEEP   OUR   HEAD  FLOP.
When   we  are   awake   the  muscles  in  our  neck  and  back   hold   us   and   our  head  upright.When  we   nod  off, those    muscles  relax   and  our  head  falls   to   one  side .Muscles  do   more  than  just  support  us -by  pulling   our   bones   they  produced  every    movement  from  lifting  a pen   to   running   a  race.
MUSCLES   ARE   OF  THREE  TYPES.

SKELETAL   MUSCLES-  It     pulls   on  bones so  we  can   move  our  body.
SMOOTH  MUSCLES-   These  are  found  in  the  walls   of  hollow   organs  ,  such  as    bladder.
CARDIAC   MUSCLES- These   are  found  in    the  walls  of   the  heart,  it   constantly   contracts    to  pump  blood.
Muscles    are  made  up   of  long  cylindrical  cells  called   fibers .Nerve    fibers    carry   signals  from  the  brain   that  make  the  muscles  fibers  contract.  Blood   vessels   carry  oxygen   and  food  to  the  muscles  fibers .
FACIAL   EXPRESSIONS    ARE  CREATED   BY  MUSCLES-
More    than  thirty  small   muscles  pull   on  the  skin   of  the  face  to  produce  the   expression  that  reveal   how  we   feel .Some   common  expressions    are  -
FEAR-   In  this ,  muscles  pull  the   lower  jaw   downwards   to  open  mouth  wide.
ANGER- In  this ,  muscles  pull  the    eyebrows     downward  making  them  wrinkle .
JOY-  In  this   expression    ,the  muscles   pull  and  lift the   corners   of  the  mouth.

SURPRISE-  In   this   expression  ,the   muscles raise  the eyebrows   and    make  the  forehead  wrinkle 
SADNESS. -In  this  expression  ,muscles  pull  the  corners  of  the  mouth  downwards.
THREE  TYPES  OF  FITNESS   RELATING  MUSCLES.
STAMINA-  It   measures   how  efficiently   our   heart  pumps  blood.

STRENGTH -It  measures    how  strong  our  muscles  are.
FLEXIBILITY-  It   measures , how  flexible  our joints, tendons,  and  muscles  are.

  • There  are  640     skeletal   muscles  in the  human  body.
  • The  longest  muscle  in  our  body  is  the  Sartorial  muscle.It s  length  is 50  cm.It  is a  thigh  muscle.








  • The  shortest  muscle  in  human  body  is the  Stampedes.It   length  is  only  0.5cm  .It  is   located  in  our  ear.   
  • When  a  muscle   stays   contracted  ,when  it  should  have  relaxed,it  causes  cramp  and  pain.To  prevent  cramp , stretch   before  exercise.
