COMMUNICATION-DIFFERENT WAYS

EARLIER  ,MESSAGES   SENT  TO   SOMEONE    WHO  WAS OUT  OF  VISUAL   AND  HEARING   RANGE   was  with  the  help  of   signals   using   smoke  ,jungle  drums,  etc. The   North  Americans  Indians  communicated   with  smoke    signals   in  the  vast  prairie    and  the    dwellers    of   African  forest  used   jungle  drums ,But   the  range  of  these  methods  was    very limited. In    the  19th    century  ,  electricity      was  used  successfully   to   transfer   messages .This   was  done  through    Morse  code,   via  telephone ,and  now  a  days    with  the  help  of   computers.

MORSE   CODE-  Morse   code    is  a  method   of   transmitting   electrical   signals      that    are   combinations    of     long  and  short   sounds .Flashes    of   light   or  electrical    pulses  that  flashes    -like  a  torch   ,that   flick  on   or  off.To    understand   the  message  ,  the  code  must  be  known ; ,the Morse alphabet .Samuel   Morse   an  American , invented  it   in   1833..The  alphabets    consists  of  dots     and  dashes  .A  dot  stand  for   short    signal  , a  dash   for  long  signal. An  S  is   written      as  ...,  an  O   as   -   -  -.This    means    the  emergency    signal    SOS is  '. . ._  _    _.  .    ._three    dots   ,three   dash,,three  dots .Amateur    radio      operators   and  telegraphy   use  this   Morse  code   now  a  days.
TELEPHONE-    TELEPHONE    works   on    the   fact  that   ,like   all    sounds   ,speech    also  consists  of     sound    waves. The     mouthpiece   of  the  telephone     has  a   microphone ,  which  converts    the   spoken    sounds    into   electric  currents .The     transmissions   of    electric  current    is  done    through  wires. In    the  earpiece ,  the  electric  current    is  converted   back   to  sound  waves .Earlier   ,the  wires  were  made   of  copper,  but    today   telephonic  conversation      are   transmitted  through   glass  fibre   cables   or  even  via  satellite   connection.Telephonic  calls   over  long  distance    were  earlier     possible   only  through    telephone  operators..Since  1970 ,we  can  make  oversea  calls   directly. This   device    was   invented  by   Graham    Bell.

COMPUTER  -e-mails  -      Electronic      mail     or      in  short  e-mail   is  send       through      computer. One    needs   access   to  the     internet .One  can    get   access   rby   paying  money   to   the   internet   service     provider  .One    ,also       need   e-mail  address   of  the  receiver. The  e-mail  starts     ,when    ' send ' is  pressed   from  the  sender's   e-mail  account .The  e- mail  then  goes   to  the   service  provider, who  sends  from one  '  node ' to  another, before  it   reaches  to  its  destination. It  may  happens  that    that  an  e-mail    sent  from  America   goes    to   Britain  then  to  India    and  finally   reaches   to    the  person,  whom  it  may    be  sent.
