ENERGY

ENERGY   IS  THE  ABILITY  of a   body  to  do   work We   can  also  say   that  energy  is  'stored    work'. Energy   is  never  lost ;it  is  coverted    from  one  form  to  another .Human  realized  this  hundred  of  years  ago   and   wanted  to  build  to  build  perpetual  machine  motion   machine  that  keep  moving  without  any  input   of  energy .They  have  not  succeeded  yet.Today ,  we  talk  a  lot  about   saving  energy .
Energy  can  neither  be  created  nor  be  destroyed . It  can  only  be  converted  into  the   energy  of  movement  callled  kinetic   Energy .When  we  shoot  the  arrow ,when  we  pick  up  stone ,we  put  energy  in  it.,if  the  stone   falls  down ,  it  can  do  some  work  by  hitting  and  damaging  some  object.
Though   Energy  is  conserved  ,every  time it   transferred  or  transformed ,some  of it  is   lost..Every  time  when  some work  is  done ,  energy  is  released   is  released  in  the  form  of   heat  through  friction .Although  heat  is   a  form  of   energy ,  we  can    not  use  it to generate  electricity  or  to  make   a car go.  Most  of  it   get  radiated  and  is  not  available  for  use .For  this  reason  we   need  to  save  fossil  fuels ,  such  as  crude  oil  and  coal ,  which  are  source  of  energy  and are  scarce.
SOURCE  OF  ENERGY.-All   energy  on  the   Earth   comes  from  the  Sun.Plants  convert the  energy  from  the   sunlight    into  food  substances   through  photosynthesis.,   and  animals   eat  plants Crude  oil  and  coal  formed  from  the  remains  of  dead  animals  and  plants  store  solar  energy. But from  where  does  the  sun  get    all  energy  from?.At    the  sun's core ,  atomic  nuclei    fuse  together   at  extremely   high  temperatures. As  a  result  of  this   fusion   enormous   radiation   energy  is  released. Its  energy  is  unlimited. But   we  use its  energy  in  the  form   of  hydro,or  wind  power, coal,  crude  oil,  or  biogas..
ENERGY  CONSUMPTION  DURING  SLEEP.-Although   there is  no   movement   when  we  are  asleep ,  our  body  consume  some  amount  of  energy .We  need this  energy   because  the  brain , the  heart, and  other  organs  keep    working   even  we  are asleep.  This  energy   comes from  the  food  we  eat   and  is  measured  in  calories .The  number  of  calories  in  different  food  is  different.People  doing  hard  work   need  more  calories  than   people  who  don't Marmots   use  this  trick,  for instance  ,in  winter ,they  have  a  winter  sleep   of  one  month, during  which  they consume  very  little  energy .They  thus  live   on  food  eaten  earlier  and  can  survive  in places  where  food  is  scares  because of  frost  or  snow.
Currently    three-fourth   of  all  the  energy   on  the  earth  is  consumed  by  only around   one-fourth  of  the population  of  the  earth.
During  the  winter  sleep , marmots   reduce  their  body  temperature  .Their  heart  beats  only    two  to  three  times per  minute.  instead  of  hundred   times.
