GREAT ORGANIZATIONS-UNO

UNO   IS  THE   Acronym   for   United  Nations Organization.It  was  established   by   51  countries   immediately   after   the  second  world  war.The   aim  of   the  UNO  was  to   prevent  occurrence   of  wars   in  future.Today   almost   all  the  countries  of  the  world   are  members  of  the  U N O.It was  established  on  24th   October  1945.
The   main  objectives   of  the  UNO   are-
  • To   promote   peace   in  the  world.
  • To   protect  human  rights  and  freedom.
If    a   war   breaks  out   somewhere,the  international  peace  troops  of  the  U N O  called  peacekeeping   force  are  sent  to   the  war  zone. to  restore  peace.
Besides  these   important   works U NO   ,with  the  help  of its  other    agencies ,U N O   run  various  program me  for   children ,health,Education ,  food    etc   throughout  the  world.
The    head  office   of  U N O  is  in  New york .
EUROPEAN  UNION   .E U   stand  for   European  Union  .
It   is  a  community   of  more  than  25  European  countries.In  1957  ,after  the  second  world   war  ,six  countries  -Belgium,Luxembourg,the  federal  republic  of  Germany,France    Italy  and  the  Netherlands-  decided   to  bury  their  old enmities and  to  work  together   on  the  economic  front .At   that  time   the  union  of  these  states   was  known   as   the   European  Economic  Community (EEC)The  objective  of  the   EU   today  are  to  establish   a  unified  economic  and  security  policy  for  its  member  nations.Under   this  agreement  ,people  can  move  freely     within  the  E U   without  the  passport   and  pay  with   the  same  currency -Euro-  in  many  countries.
